Welcome to the Premier Issue of IAA Client News - Remarketing Edition!
I’m thrilled to bring our remarketing customers a new monthly newsletter filled with useful industry news. We’ll put the spotlight on remarketing topics from industry sources and within IAA.
Time is precious, so we’ve organized this newsletter for a quick and easy read. If you want to learn more about any specific topic, you can always click on the link for more in-depth information. With so many great things happening within IAA right now, this first edition will focus entirely on IAA-related remarketing news.
The COVID-19 pandemic left many in the industry unable to conduct normal day-to-day business operations. IAA has remained an essential business throughout and assisted our industry partners in many ways. That meant we had to get creative and innovative! Below are some of the very interesting things going on at IAA!
Auto Remarketing Podcast Features IAA’s Mathiowetz
Bill Zadeits, president of Cherokee Media Group, chats with our own John Mathiowetz, VP, Commercial Sales on the Auto Remarketing Podcast about how IAA has weathered the pandemic. They also chatted about IAA’s accelerated transition to a 100% digital auction platform, and the industry’s reaction to this shift plus how our thinking out of the box helped customers during a critical time period.
IAA Kicks Off Rental Rides
One of the results of our out of the box thinking is IAA’s new Rental Rides offering. Featuring lightly damaged rental inventory from our partners, this idea resulted from a collaboration between the teams to offer these specific vehicles through a distinct channel. It also enables our partners to sell vehicles from offsite locations or have them transported to physical IAA branches. Because these vehicles are offered on our digital platform, both options are seamless and easy.
IAA's Online Exclusive Event Sale Featuring JPMorgan Chase
We recently partnered with a large financial customer to offer Subaru and Mazda lease returns for sale online. Vehicles sold in the special auction featured a 7-day warranty, up to 14 days of free storage, AiM condition reports, and floorplan companies waived their processing fees if buyers financed through them. The sale was a great success and another example of getting creative.
Women in Remarketing Honors IAA’s Kadlec
Cherokee Media Group’s Women in Remarketing program has recognized Amy Kadlec, IAA’s Senior Director, Client Marketing, for excellence among leaders of the remarketing and used-car business. The program honors leaders in the industry, while also inspiring and fostering future leaders. Amy will be honored among others in the industry at Used Car Week in November.
CAT Season is Upon Us
Weather catastrophes can strike anytime, anywhere. The IAA Catastrophe Response Strategy leads the industry by providing services and support when our customers need it most. I encourage you to read our first three strategy briefs. The final brief on Merchandising of Assets will be published in September.
