Steve Muscarello, SVP and Chief Commercial Officer at IAA, celebrates National Auto Auction Week.
I hope everyone is staying healthy and having a great summer. Despite the unprecedented nature of our times there are still a lot of great things going on, so let’s get right to it!
It's National Auto Auction Week! Let’s take a moment to celebrate the industry we’re so passionate about. From IAA’s first five branches 40 years ago, to the move to both live and online auctions more than two decades ago, to the innovative digital auction experience we offer today, IAA continues to set the pace in the auto auction industry. I want to personally thank all our customers, partners, employees, family, friends, and neighbors for their support. Here’s to our long-term, mutual success!
With CAT season in full swing, our well-received CAT Brief Series could not be more timely. The NOAA is still predicting an “extremely active” hurricane season. Already a record nine named storms have come out of the Atlantic Basin, far more than the average of two for this point in the summer. IAA’s industry-leading Catastrophe Response Strategy provides critical services and support when our customers need it most. Learn more in our first three strategy briefs, and look for the final brief on Merchandising of Assets at the end of this month.
We’re always looking for new and better ways to connect with our clients. That’s why I’m excited to announce the debut of IAA Client News - Remarketing Edition, a new monthly newsletter for our remarketing customers. It will feature useful industry news and put the spotlight on remarketing topics from industry sources and within IAA. We sent the first issue out in mid-August, so look for the next issue in mid-September. If you didn’t receive an email copy of it in August, let us know and we will get you on the list.
Finally, here’s an interesting interview with Steve Hankins, IAA UK’s Managing Director. The interview appears in ATF Professional, which covers the vehicle dismantling industry. Hankins discusses the rebrand of HBC to IAA, and the future of vehicle recycling.
As always, thank you for your business. Stay safe and healthy. I will be in touch again soon.
