How to Pay at IAA

IAA offers several convenient options to pay for vehicles. After the vehicle is awarded, payments are due by 5:00 p.m. local branch time on the due date. For U.S. domestic buyers, payment is due two business days after the vehicle is awarded. For non-U.S. foreign buyers, payment is due four business days after the vehicle is awarded. Please Note: We do not accept in-person payments at our Buyer Services office (Oak Brook, IL) or our Corporate office (Westchester, IL). Please visit your local branch to make an in-person payment, or choose from one of our convenient online payment options.

In-Branch Payments: Buyers who pay at the Branch with cash, money order, cashiers check or company check will be charged a $20 In-Branch Payment fee.


PayPal is a worldwide online payment system that allows users to pay with multiple payment options. If you would like to use PayPal to pay at IAA, you will need to have a PayPal account. This account will be connected to your credit card or checking account. If you don’t have a PayPal account, set-up is fast, and easy. PayPal is one of the most secure platforms for sending and receiving money online.

  • Offers buyers the opportunity to apply for financing (through PayPal).

  • Access on your mobile device or cellphone via the IAA Buyer App.

To use PayPal with your IAA account:

If you already have a PayPal account, you do not need to do anything. Simply select the PayPal icon during check-out on, or pay via the IAA Buyer App. If you don’t have a PayPal account, please sign-up.

  1. You will need to provide an email, create a password, then fill-in your personal information.

  2. You will receive a link to verify your email account.

I-Pay® is an electronic check writing/ACH payment option that automatically transfers funds from your U.S. bank account to IAA. Customers with a Licensed Business account and a U.S. bank account can utilize this feature with a maximum daily limit of up to $2,500 to pay for purchases quickly, securely, and with no additional fees. To add the secure digital I-Pay payment option to your account:
  • Provide a Bank Letter from a U.S.-based bank to Buyer Services.

  • Log in to and go to My Auction Center.

  • On the ‘Profile’ tab, select Payment Methods.

  • Select Sign-up for I-Pay.

  • Enter the required information.

  • Select Sign Up.

Credit/Debit Cards

Use your credit/debit card for payment through IAA’s secure online system with a maximum daily processing limit of up to $2,500. All major credit cards are accepted, except American Express. U.S. domestic buyers with a licensed business account may request a daily maximum increase pending Customer Support approval. One year of established purchase history required.

  • Payments can be made online at and at an IAA Branch.

To add a credit card payment option to your account:
  • Log in to and go to My Auction Center.

  • On the Profile tab, select Payment Methods and then select Add a Card.

Please note: The name listed on all credit/debit cards being used for payments MUST match the name of the registered buyer. Buyers are prohibited from using any third-party credit/debit cards.

Cash/Cash Equivalent

This includes currency, money orders, cashier’s checks, certified checks and traveler’s checks. Payment for vehicles may be made with cash, and a daily limit of $500 per day, per branch. Cash equivalent payments can be made up to any amount per day per branch. Change cannot be provided at any branch. Buyers must provide a valid government-issued photo ID for these cash/cash equivalent payments. Please familiarize yourself and your agents with our IAA’s Cash Payment Policy.

Wire Transfer / Account Credit

Wire transfers are a secure and reliable way to pay for vehicles from nearly anywhere in the world. Learn more about this quick and easy method in the help section of

Features and Benefits

  • Payments have no daily or branch limits/maximums.

  • Self-service by using the wire transfer funds in your account credit to pay.

To use Wire Transfer and Account Credit as a payment option:

Step 1 – Send Wire Transfer Payment to IAA. Invoices can still be printed during the checkout process and used at your bank to send a wire transfer.

Step 2 - Complete the  Wire Transfer form and e-mail it to with a copy of your bank receipt. You will no longer be required to provide stock details only your buyer number. 

Step 3 – Once IAA receives it, your payment is posted into your account as IAA Account Credit. 

Step 4 – You must then log in and pay for your vehicles online using the Account Credit option during check-out. You will no longer have to wait for IAA to process the payment to individual stock #’s. 


Financing, or floorplanning, is available for U.S.-based licensed businesses.

To use financing as a payment option: 
  • Select one of our partner companies and find the best option for you. You will then apply for financing to complete the purchase of your IAA vehicle.

Account Credit 

IAA Account Credit is available funds that have been credited to your account. Learn more about IAA Account Credit.

  • Payments can be made online with your IAA account credit to quickly pay for inventory, fees or transportation costs.  

  • Account balance is available online at 

To Use available Account Credit as a payment option:
  • Log in to My Auction Center to view available account credit on your dashboard.

  • Select items ‘To Be Paid’ and proceed to checkout. 

  • Upon checkout, select ‘Account Credit’ as a payment method. 

  • Submit your payment.
