How to Pay at IAA

We know our customers need convenient options to pay for their vehicles. Now IAA offers several ways for buyers to make payments. After the vehicle is awarded, payments are due by 4:30 p.m. local branch time on the payment due date. For U.S. domestic buyers, the payment due date is two business days after the vehicle is awarded. For non-U.S. foreign buyers, the payment due date is four business days after the vehicle is awarded. Following are the various payment options available:

PayPal® **Now Available**

PayPal is a worldwide online payment system that allows users to pay with multiple payment options. If you would like to use PayPal to pay at IAA, you will need to have a PayPal account. This account will be connected to your credit card or checking account. If you don’t have a PayPal account, set-up is fast, and easy. PayPal is one of the most secure platforms for sending and receiving money online.

  • Pay for buyer registration, vehicles, fees, and even transportation booked online.
  • Offers buyers the opportunity to apply for financing (through PayPal).
  • Access on your mobile device or cellphone via the IAA Buyer App.

To use PayPal with your IAA account:

If you already have a PayPal account, you do not need to do anything. Simply select the PayPal icon during check-out on, or pay via the IAA Buyer App. If you don’t have a PayPal account, please sign-up.

  1. You will need to provide an email, create a password, then fill-in your personal information.
  2. You will receive a link to verify your email account.
  3. Follow the step-by-step instructions for adding your payment methods.

I-Pay® is an electronic check writing/ACH payment option that automatically transfers funds from your U.S. bank account to IAA. Customers with a Licensed Business account and a U.S. bank account can utilize this feature with a maximum daily limit of up to $5,000 to pay for purchases quickly, securely, and with no additional fees.

  • Transfer funds instantly to IAA directly from your U.S. bank account with a single click.
  • Eliminate additional fees including those required for wire transfers and money orders.
  • Make payments online at and the IAA Buyer App.

To add the secure digital I-Pay payment option to your account:

  • Log in to and go to My Auction Center.
  • On the ‘Profile’ tab, select Payment Methods.
  • Select Sign-up for I-Pay.
  • Enter the required information.
  • Select Sign Up.

Credit/Debit Cards

Use your credit/debit card for payment through IAA’s secure online system with a maximum daily processing limit of up to $2,500. All major credit cards are accepted, except American Express. U.S. domestic buyers with a licensed business account may request a daily maximum increase pending Customer Support approval.

To add a credit card payment option to your account:

  • Log in to and go to My Auction Center.
  • On the Profile tab, select Payment Methods and then select Add a Card.

Cash/Cash Equivalent

This includes currency, money orders, cashier’s checks, certified checks and traveler’s checks. Payment for vehicles may be made with cash, and a daily limit of $500 per day, per branch. Cash equivalent payments can be made up to any amount per day per branch. Change cannot be provided at any branch. Buyers must provide a valid government-issued photo ID for these cash/cash equivalent payments. Please familiarize yourself and your agents with our IAA’s Cash Payment Policy.

Wire Transfer

Wire transfers are a secure and reliable way to pay for vehicles from nearly anywhere in the world. Learn more about this quick and easy method in the Useful Documents and Forms section when you log in to My Auction Center on

  • Online payments can be made quickly and securely.

To use Wire Transfer as a payment option:

  • Invoices can be printed during the check out process.
  • Invoices can be used at your bank to order a wire transfer.
  • Log in to your IAA account to view the Wire Transfer Notification and Payment Instructions.
  • Instructions are located towards the bottom of our Useful Documents and Forms page.
  • Download the Wire Transfer form (include Stock and Buyer numbers).

If you are a U.S. based dealer with a finance company account such as AFC, you can pay for vehicles with your line of credit.

Features and Benefits

  • Payments can be made with your financing line of credit and quickly pay for your vehicles, fees or transportation costs.
  • Payments can be made online at and the IAA Buyer App.

  • To use AFC financing as a payment option: 

  • To link your AFC line of credit to your IAA account, contact IAA Customer Support.
  • Once approved by IAA, your AFC account will be linked to your IAA account.
  • With this in place, you’ll select the vehicles you want to add to your AFC floor plan, then click Proceed to Checkout.
  • You then select the payment method by clicking Financing (AFC), followed by the Continue button.

Available IAA Credit

IAA Account Credit is available funds that have been credited to your account.

  • Payments can be made with your IAA account credit to quickly pay for inventory, fees or transportation costs.

To use available IAA Credit as a payment option: 

  • Log in to My Auction Center to view available credit directly from your dashboard
